AFC User Console Software is a Windows® based programming interface that enables you to:

System cables

The system features a durable high flex molded cable with “quick on - quick off” twist and lock connectors.

Main Cables & Extension Cables are available in either a straight or 90 degree connector at the tool end.

One main cable must be used with each tool / controller. Extension cables are typically used in “whip” configurations, to afford quick replacement of a shorter end instead of a complete longer cable.

AFC1500 Controllers




FEC has applied the latest digital and surface mount technologies developing extremely compact controllers for the AFC 1500 system.  This compact design reduces overall plant floor space requirements, while also providing modular components capable of quick exchange.

The minimal spacing requirements allow approx. 25 spindles to be mounted in a standard single door enclosure!

Multi-Spindle Main Control Unit

The Multi Unit is an auxiliary unit that can be added to any number of SAN units, assuming control of sequencing, all spindle I/O (including Fieldbus interfaces*) and fastening data communication.  Used in multiple spindle applications, the Multi Unit saves valuable engineering, debug and
start-up costs. 
Additionally, Ethernet I/P, CC-Link® & DeviceNet® technologies allow transfer of resultant press data across the same communication link as the I/O, simplifying connection architecture!

An optional 10/100Mb Ethernet (E) Data port is available for connection to fastening data collection systems. (FECNET, ToolsNet, QDAS and custom protocols available)

The AFC User software allows easy set-up & monitoring of multiple spindles (with or) without the use of controller display modules.

With our user-friendly, Windows®-based software, the operator can access and manipulate various fastening data, such as fastening parameters, fastening result, data analysis  and maintenance data.

An onscreen HELP function is included to help the operator navigate each field.  Display options can include use of a PC or Laptop a unit-mounted display only, or some combination, depending on the application.  The same software can run a single unit or a complex, multiple-unit configuration.

MAIN UNIT CONTROLLER


The Main Unit is a complimentary controller device to enhance the DSP1500 capabilities by providing the data communication and sequence control features for single and multiple (up to 31) press applications. The use of the Main Unit reduces valuable engineering, start-up and debug time by allowing full sequencing functionality & press data to be handled independently of an outside controller (PLC).  Additionally, all Input / Output functions are assumed by the Main Unit for all connected presses while also allowing use of a multiple of standard Fieldbus Interfaces. 

Optional fieldbus capabilities for: Ethernet I/P, Allen Bradley Remote I/O®, DeviceNet®, Interbus-S®, Profibus®, CC-Link® and Modbus Plus® are available eliminating hard wired I/O thus reducing debug & start-up costs.  Additionally, Ethernet I/P, CC-Link® & DeviceNet
® technologies allow transfer of resultant press data across the same communication link as the I/O.
